Unfortunately, mental health concerns are often ignored by the congregation and community. Worse, some congregations believe that mental health struggles are a sin or demon. Between not talking about the issue or talking about it in ignorance, we miss the ability to bring hope and healing to those and their families who are suffering quietly. It is time to talk and teach. It is time to embrace those who feel alone.
