We are looking for advocates who are passionate about representing our mission and helping us spread awareness surrounding the be nice. action plan as a lifestyle. We’re calling it the be team. There are two levels of involvement - be active. ambassadors and mission ambassadors. Look over the descriptions below and see if and where you fit. If this sounds like you, please fill out an application and sign up to attend a 30-minute information session. Level I Ambassador : be active This is a base-level volunteer. This participant will have the opportunity to represent the be nice. action plan at community events, (along with an MHF staff member or a mission ambassador) such as health fairs, pop-up shops, and our two annual events. Level II Ambassador : mission ambassador As a mission ambassador, you represent and build awareness surrounding mental health and suicide prevention education using the be nice. action plan as your platform. It is the MHF’s mission to “equip individuals with the knowledge to recognize, understand, accept, and take action when it comes to mental health.” It is your job to assist us in fulfilling this mission in your community. You will be fully trained with the knowledge surrounding the be nice. action plan and have the confidence to “talk the talk” and “walk the walk.”You will aid the MHF staff in volunteer opportunities, micro and macro fundraising events, along with participating in the MHF’s annual fundraising events Stomp Out Stigma and Shining Through.You will be given the tools needed to create connections with potential donors, sponsors, schools, businesses, faith institutions, and local shop vendors.You will be given content to post and share on your social media platforms.Mission Ambassadors will be reviewed yearly. This is especially important for those who are interested in committee or trustee membership. Our gear is a great conversation starter.
